Dr. Zeinab Sanaee
Associate Professor
Dr. Zeinab Sanaee was born in Babol, Iran, in 1983. She received the BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in 2005, 2007, and 2011, respectively, all in Electrical Engineering from University of Tehran. She is currently working at ECE-University of Tehran as an Associate Professor since 2012. Her research interest is focused on fabrication of Lithium ion batteries and supercapacitors, synthesis and implementation of Nanostructured materials for their performance improvement. She is also director of “Energy Storage Laboratory (ESL)”, where working on emerging technologies for Lithium-based batteries is followed as one of the main research subjects of the lab.

Dr. Mahmoud Ghafari
Dr. Mahmoud Ghafari received his BSc from Isfahan University of Technology in 2014, MSc from Tarbiat Modares University in 2016 and PhD from University of Tehran in 2024 all in Electrical Engineering and he is currently pursuing his research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ESL-ECE-University of Tehran. One of the most prominent characters of Dr. Ghafari, is his tireless persistence and positive energy to lead novice graduate students during their scientific journey. His research interest is focused on fabrication of high performance Solid-electrolyte batteries, synthesis and implementation of Nanostructures in Energy Storage Devices.

Dr. Mohammadreza Yasoubi
Dr. Mohammadreza Yasoubi received his MSc in Nanoelectronics Engineering from University of Tabriz in 2016 and He is alumnus of ESL-ECE-University of Tehran since September 2024. Soraya Hoornam received her MSc in Solid State Physics from Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch in 2011 and She is currently a PhD candidate in NanoElectronics at ESL-ECE-University of Tehran. Soraya has valuable teach experience around Fundamental of physics and Modern physics at Islamic Azad University, and precious research experience on design and fabrication of LSPR biosensor and investigation of its application in various fields of medicine at Nano Mabna Iranian (a knowledge-based company) and also research on Synthesis of gold Nanoparticles by RF-PECVD method and investigation of their biosensor properties at IPM-Institute For Research In Fundamental Sciences. Her research interest is focused on pre-lithiation of Silicon Nanostructure-based Anodes in lithium-ion batteries.

Lida Noroozi
PhD Candidate (2020 Entry)
Lida Noroozi currently based in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Her academic journey culminated in a PhD in Nanoelectronic Engineering from ESL-ECE-University of Tehran in 2020, following a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Tabriz. Professionally, she has served as a Visiting Researcher at University of Münster | MEET Battery Research Center since February 2023. Her earlier experience includes nearly three years as an Electronic Design Engineer at Peyman Sanat Spadana in Esfahan. Her diverse background in nanoelectronics and semiconductor technology equips her with a strong skill set for research and development in this dynamic field.

Zahra Bahmaei

Dr. Ali Lashani Zand

Dr. Lashani Zand earned his PhD degree in June 2024 with outstanding grades. Dr. Lashani Zand was a PhD candidate associated with the Center of Excellence for Nanoelectronics at ESL-ECE-University of Tehran, specializing in energy storage, specifically focusing on the research and simulation of silicon anodes for lithium-ion batteries. His research methodology includes molecular dynamics, ab initio molecular dynamics, and density functional theory (DFT). The basis of simulation in the present studies is on the molecular dynamics, ab initio molecular dynamics and DFT methods; He also collaborate with other universities in this field and currently working on simulating the silicon anode modify of Li-ion batteries and studying ways to improve efficiency and increase cycle.

Dr. Mahdieh Hakimi received her BSc degree in electrical engineering from Shariaty Technical and Vocational University in 2013, and the MSc in electrical engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology in 2015. Dr. Mahdieh Hakimi is a dedicated and motivated researcher in Solid State Electronics, specializing in the field of energy storage. With a PhD from ESL-ECE-University of Tehran, Mahdieh has over 5 years of experience in the Energy Storage Lab and has undertaken a 10-month research visit in the lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries research line at CIC energiGUNE in Spain. She is known for her hardworking and disciplined approach, demonstrating expertise in various experimental techniques and analytical tools. Dr. Mahdieh Hakimi got Energy Storage Devices Best Researcher Award🏆 (Doctorate at CIDETEC, Spain). Mahdieh’s primary research focuses on the synthesis and analysis of materials for advanced energy storage systems. Seyed Mojtaba Sadati

Seyed Mojtaba Sadati Faramarzi is an Experienced circuit designer with a demonstrated history of working in the electronic manufacturing industry (+10 years). Expert in various stages of electronic system design: From semiconductor device realization and fabrication in cleanroom (class 10), to device characterization and analysis, design of complex CMOS analog and digital mixed-signal circuits, up to system architecture for electronic product design and programming.
